Meet the Therapist
Hi, I’m Jessica Oughton.. but most of my clients just call me Jess
I believe therapy should be a safe place where you can slow down, feel understood, and make sense of the experiences that have shaped you. Life doesn't always unfold the way we imagined, and sometimes we find ourselves carrying grief, trauma, stress, or transitions that feel difficult to navigate on our own.
My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I value building genuine connection and believe that feeling comfortable with your therapist is an important part of the work we do together.
I also believe therapy doesn't always have to feel heavy. I'm a therapist who loves to laugh, and I think there is room for humor even in difficult seasons of life. Sometimes a little laughter can help us breathe, feel connected, or make a hard conversation feel a little easier. I'll meet you where you are and make space for both the difficult moments and the lighter ones.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals navigating trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and lasting effects of difficult experiences. I believe healing isn't about forgetting what happened or changing who you are. It is about creating space to move forward with greater understanding, confidence, and self-compassion.
Every Chapter of life brings something different. Some chapters are joyful, some are painful, and some leave us wondering what comes next.
“Until you make the UNCONSCIOUS CONSCIOUS, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
